Sundays in my city - or the day I forgot to put the SD card back in the camera

This afternoon we took advantage of the stunning day and met up with friends at Royal park for a play and a BBQ. Stunning day I tell you! I thought, great I will get some awesome shots for my blog today. Sure enough we got to the park that has a massive flood wall around it and there perched along the top of the wall were about 15 teenage emo's (not contemplating anything just sitting and chatting). All in standard emo uniform with skateboards at their feet just waiting for me to snap them. I grabbed the camera very excited, checked the zoom was on and snapped. NOTHING HAPPENED!! Tried again, still nothing, looked and there was the little icon asking "where is the SD card you moron!! Yeah YOU! LEft it in the laptop didn't you!!!" I could have cried I tell you. After that I saw opportunity after opportunity,. Some days are just like that aren't they.

So today Sunday is bought to you by a moron at home.
Tonight to end our lovely day (not counting several aspy meltdowns and tears) we read a favourite of ours

Plus a new one from the opshop. This was written by Prince Charles for his younger brothers many years ago and it is great. Thoroughly recommend it.

There has also been some board games today.

NOOOOOOOO! I guess I should be thankful that I rely on pugging the camera directly into my laptop instead of connecting the SD port!

Nice save with the book photos. Happy Sunday.

I've gone on photo outings with friends only to find my camera battery is dead and I've left my spares at home. So frustrating.

Oh boy! I never take the card out - I use Canon program to download all the pictures - just a cable between my laptop and camera.
Better luck for the next weekend! :)
Have a great week ahead!

I didn't know Prince Charles wrote a book! Sounds like you had a nice story-filled ending to your day. It can't get much better than that!

Yup, I'm lucky that I don't take the SD out of the camera because if I did, I'm sure this would happen to me all the time.

That has happened to me in the past so I've learned from it now. I'm obsessed about checking batteries and SD cards daily.

Eeek! I hate when I do that. Sorry about the missing card.

Well if all is well that ends well, I think that all is well, because any day that ends with board games is a good day.

I love that Frogs in the Bog game. It was called something else when I was a kid but I adored it. My best friend and I must have played that a thousand times.

Have a great week!
