Get your musical on!!!!

After Disney's success with the High School Musical movies they have gone full steam ahead on the musical genre.   The soon to be released HSM spin off, 'Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure' is another of these.

Sharpay is on the search for success.  Due to the fact that she is primarily an obnoxious, spoilt brat she is in for many surprises along the way and discovers success isn't that easy to find.

"pretty good" is the response I got from my 8yo son and "awesome!" came from my 7yo daughter.  Mind you, anything with 'glamour' and music appeals to them.  I found it to be a tad over the top and didn't like the role modelling presented by Sharpay.  Great that the brat evolves into a semi likeable character but I know my daughter is highly impressionable as I am sure many other little girls are.  How about some positive role models Disney!

However, if you are looking for something to entertain your wee ones then this movie will do it for sure!

This is due for release on  29th June 2011, and I notice you can now buy most of these dvds at the supermarket!  How easy is that!

I have one copy of this dvd to give away.  To be in the running, leave me a comment and tell me your favourite musical!   Also be sure to tweet the post!   Competition ends 25th June 2011

Disclosure: I received a complimentary review copy of the DVD courtesy of Disney Channel via Aussie Mummy Bloggers. No financial payment was offered nor accepted for this post. All opinions expressed are purely my own.

I love old musicals. The classics.
Of course Rocky Horror is a fave, but my favourite musical would have to be Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. It is my favourite thing to watch while I'm doing the ironing.
