mothers day

Editing to add that my mum got her parcel today and she LOVED it. I am so happy she did, thankyou to all who gave advise

I made this vest for my mum but then I worried that she might not like the crop style so I found a lovely white shirt in an op shop in Mitcham that goes with it perfectly. I also knitted a tea cosy for her as she is getting her gift late. The cosy is knitted with double stranded 8 ply and the stitch is called a half cable. I thought it looked pretty cool.
The top is made from Yarn Bee acrylic/cotton blend and knitted up nicely and is lovely and soft.

hello,

that's a great knit! I was wondering if you knew about Melbourne's collaborative op shopping blog 'I op therefore I am'

http://melb-opshopping.blogspot.com/

there are links there to maps and addresses of Melbourne's op shops. let me know if you are interested in joining.

regards, Amelia

It's gorgeous, have you given it to your Mum yet? What did she think?
