In their own time

A few weeks ago one of the training wheels on Nienna's bike broke. I explained that she was probably pretty close to riding without them so perhaps we wouldn't replace them and when she felt she was ready to ride she would. The bike sat in the shed for a few weeks then last week while Beren was at cubs she asked if I would help her ride her bike. She jumped on and took off up the driveway! She needed a little help 'taking off' but that was it. It is lovely to see children do things in their own time and trusting their own abilities. She is now confident enough to go up and down the street and around the block.
