I want to do experiments Mum!

Nienna is the queen of experiments at the moment.  The latest is seeing what effect freezing has on things.

This has red wine, oil, soy sauce, blackcurrant juice and in the middle bubblebath.
Which do you think will freeze or not freeze??

This has bath water with bubbles and a screwed up piece of paper.   The water froze, the bubbles turned to powder and the paper stayed the same.

To the above mix she then added oil and soy sauce and put it all back in the freezer.

What a great idea to try, will remember it for when my little one is older. We're just on the concept of frozen things at the mo, she had a great time with a bowl of frozen fish-shaped ice cubes earlier - okay so the water ended up on the floor, but never mind!

That is wonderful that she wants to experiment! She might like some of the experiments we are doing right now on my blog. They are similar chemistry experiments with household materials.

Thanks for dropping by my blog, and always lovely to discover a fellow home schooler :-)

Love the look of absolute concentration on your daughter's face.

Kids learn best when they get to try things for themselves don't they? Thanks for sharing this idea with us at the Play Academy.
