Sunday in my city

Beren and I went away for the weekend with some friends. We stayed at a friend's house in Liffey.  These families are fellow home schoolers and we had an awesome weekend.

Despite some heavy rain the kids 'boogie boarded' the river rapids and had a blast.  We played lots of games, took many many photos, walked, chatted and ate and drank.  All in all it was a relaxing weekend for both of us and Beren got the chance to bond with some other boys.  I must say it was beautiful to watch him having a wonderful time and I was so grateful for meeting these beautiful families.  Their children are a credit to them as they are so accepting of Beren and included him in all their play, helped him when needed and treated him so kindly.

What fun, but oh how cold!

A visitor to the garden.  For my overseas readers this is a baby kookaburra.  We popped him up on fence and his family called to him and encouraged him to fly back to them. He can only fly short distances at this stage.

Looks like so much fun! Oh my, that must have been cold in that water! I love the pick of him rolling and laughing in the grass... precious moments!

Wonderful shots!! Are you in Australia? I'll have to check out the rest of your website. My Sunday was spent in Sedona, Arizona!

What a great place and so much fun. The water attraction looks a little cold but the smile sure proves it was worth it!
